Heavy Industries

Heavy industry is industry that involves one or more characteristics such as large and heavy products; large and heavy equipment and facilities or complex or numerous processes. Because of those factors, heavy industry often involves higher capital intensity than light industry does, and it is also often more heavily cyclical in investment and employment.

Another trait of heavy industry is that it most often sells its goods to other industrial customers, rather than to the end consumer. Heavy industries tend to be a part of the supply chain of other products. As a result, their stocks will often rally at the beginning of an economic upturn and are often the first to benefit from an increase in demand.

Heavy industries that we are interested to work in are as follows:

  • Oil & Gas Refining
  • Petrochemical & Chemicals
  • Metal Refining & Production
  • Power Plants
  • Ship Building
  • Industrial Heavy Machineries
